The World Bank classifies the U.S. and Canada says
“though both countries (Canada and the USA) have average high gross national incomes (GDI), they are among the most income unequal nations in the developed world.”
Brandeis.edu Blog further reports that the World Bank states…
“the gap between the richest and the poorest in the U.S. continues to grow, this gap remains fairly stable in Canada. Approximately 14.5% of the U.S. population and 9.5% of Canadians live below the poverty line.”
That’s 10-15% who live below the Poverty Line. Quick Math tells us that’s over
40,000,000 people in Canada and the United States living in Poverty!
